Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about arranging care.

What type of care does Veritas Healthcare provide?

We provide personalised home-based support within our confirmed service scope. This may include domiciliary care, personal care, companionship, respite, live-in care and practical daily-living support, subject to assessment.

How do I arrange care?

Contact our team for an initial conversation. If the enquiry is suitable, we will discuss the required support and arrange an assessment before confirming a care plan and start arrangements.

Can care be arranged for only a few visits each week?

Care arrangements can often be tailored around the person’s assessed needs and the availability of the service. The exact frequency and visit pattern will be agreed during assessment.

Do you provide personal care?

Personal care can be provided where it falls within Veritas Healthcare’s confirmed scope and has been properly assessed and included in the individual care plan.

Can you help with medication?

We can support medication routines where this has been assessed, agreed and documented and where staff have the appropriate training and competence for the level of support required.

Can you support someone after hospital discharge?

In some cases, short-term home support may be suitable after discharge, provided the person’s needs are within our competence and can be safely met. We will assess this before accepting the care package.

Can family members be involved in the care plan?

Yes, where the person wishes this or where there is another lawful basis for involvement. We take consent, confidentiality and decision-making responsibilities seriously.

How do you decide which care worker will visit?

We consider the person’s needs, required skills, availability and compatibility. We also aim to promote consistency where reasonably possible.

What happens if my care needs change?

Please tell us as soon as possible. We may review the care plan, risks and visit arrangements and decide whether the changed needs remain within our service scope.

How do I raise a concern or complaint?

You can contact Veritas Healthcare directly using the published complaints route. Concerns should be listened to, recorded and reviewed without anyone being treated unfairly for speaking up.

Do you provide emergency medical care?

No. Veritas Healthcare is not a substitute for emergency medical services. In a medical emergency, contact the appropriate emergency service.

Which areas do you cover?

Our current service areas will be listed on the website once confirmed. Please contact us to check whether we can support the location you need.
